The 30-day estimate assumes the same rate of use. It is not a prediction of how long a new formula will last. Changing the unit reinterprets the weight you entered; it does not convert the input.
How the estimate works
Total cost = pack price + the shipping and tax you allocate to that pack. Daily cost = total cost ÷ days used. Estimated 30-day cost = daily cost × 30. Cost per pound uses 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg. Results are rounded only for display.
Example only, not a RootPurr offer: a $24 pack weighing 12 lb with $6 shipping and tax, used over 20 days, costs $2.50/lb, $1.50/day and an estimated $45 per 30 days.
What if I do not know how long a bag lasts?
Record a full usage period first, including top-ups and replacement. Use the same quantity for price, weight and days. If you enter assumed days, the result is a scenario—not measured savings. Do not prolong use against label or cleaning instructions to lower the estimate.
Can I compare different brands?
Yes. Repeat with the same accounting method for each product. This estimates cost only, not dust, odor control, safety or your cat’s acceptance. It does not include boxes, mats or other accessories.
